Ringette lovers got a special treat last Saturday Feb. 17 as two AA under-16 teams played at Tundra Oil & Gas Place in Virden.
The Bonivital Angels from Winnipeg and the Regina Stingers met for two exhibition games, a rare treat for ringette fans like Tara Cowan, the RM of Pipestone’s Recreation Manager.
“I found it exciting because I played ringette for 20 years. It brought back a lot of memories!” said Cowan.
The city teams played two exhibition games in Virden and two in Souris the next day.
