A season in the balance

The sun sets on a term of office, just two years, for Justin Trudeau.

As the sun sets just before 8 p.m.on Sept. 20, 2021 there is a feeling of change in the autumn air. The hours of day and night are nearly equal. The full harvest moon is rising. The polls are closed and the counting has begun. Manitobans, in the centre of Canada, are waiting for the verdict.

PC candidates Larry Maguire and Dan Mazier in  Brandon-Souris and Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa respectively sit at around 60 per cent of the vote at 10 p.m.

The other nearest contender is the NDP party 19 per cent in Brandon Souris and 14 per cent in Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa.
