A parade-perfect day

The 2019 Virden Indoor Rodeo parade went off without a hitch Saturday morning. The coolish, bright morning was ideal for getting out the spectators along the parade route from the high school to the arena.

The 2019 Virden Indoor Rodeo parade went off without a hitch Saturday morning. The coolish, bright morning was ideal for getting out the spectators along the parade route from the high school to the arena.

Election candidates, both federal and provincial, took advantage of the event to join the procession, throw candy and shake hands.

As to be expected, horses and other hooved quadrupeds dominated the parade including the perennial Merle Coleman and family on horseback, some miniature donkeys and ponies. The Shriners were there, tucked into their miniature cars, and lots of floats featured miniature people tossing candy to the crowds and having a blast.
