On a damp, dreary Monday morning children were brightening people’s day in downtown Virden.
On Oct. 1 a large group of Mary Montgomery School Grades 2 and 3 students gathered outside the office of Virden Empire-Advance. In an “act of kindness” several students along with teacher Lisa Pearn, popped into the Empire-Advance office.
First of all, it’s a nice break in an adult’s day to hear the young voices and see their faces come in the door.
In addition, their little gift had a big impact as students handed each of the staff a cookie with a message, "share, the love".
Chocolate chip treats no less! It just hit the spot at 10:30 a.m.
