For two full days, the horses showed on the line and in harness.

There were nearly 70 horses. Ten fourhorse hitches and five six-horse hitches entertained a keen crowd in the stands.

Heavyhorse and driving fans from as far away as Steinbach watched the action.

Of note, there were eight teams of registered mares. Show organizers say it’s uncommon to have that many teams of registered mares.

Two special presentations included the Richard Murphy Memorial trophy sponsored by Donna Murphy and Family for the registered mare team; Ken and Elaine Horn Memorial trophy, sponsored by the Horn Families was presented to the unicorn class on Saturday.

Watch for results next week.
