Back to school in Ft. La Bosse SD

August is quickly coming to an end and that can only mean that September and a return to school will be here before you know it! I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer vacation and are now excited to begin the upcoming school year with renewed energy for teaching and learning. I would like to extend a warm welcome to new and returning students and staff.

The following information gives an overview of the 2018 fall term. 

Tuesday, Sept. 4, will see school staffs involved in professional development and school-based administrative business. 

Classes begin at all FLBSD schools on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. It will be Day 1 on the school calendar and will be a regular school day with normal dismissal times.

A reminder to all motorists to please watch out for the many cyclists and children walking to and from school in the mornings, at lunch hour and at dismissal times during the school year.

Please review the information below as it gives an overview of our first semester.  

The school calendar is on our website at www.flbsd.mb.ca.

Fort La Bosse School Division schools will be closed to students during the Fall Term on the following days:

  • Staff professional development (PD) day: Tues. Sept. 4
  • In service: Sept. 24
  • Thanksgiving: Oct. 8
  • Remembrance Day: Nov. 11
  • Admin Day: Nov. 12
  • Parent teacher interviews: Nov. 21
  • Christmas break: Dec. 21, 2018 – Jan. 4, 2019

Classes will resume for students on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, which will be Day 2 on the school calendar.
