Virden Mayor Murray Wright started a new tradition last Friday Nov. 8, inviting citizens to drop by the town office to ask questions and share suggestions with him in person.
A town employee was also on hand to keep a record of attendees and provide complaint forms if needed.
Gerry Gatey of Virden was among just a couple of visitors at the first Coffee with the Mayor get-together, hosted in council chambers. One topic of discussion was the restoration and possible expansion of the walking trail along Scallion Creek in Virden.
