During the week of Nov. 23rd to Nov. 29th, the Westman RCMP dealt with 52 police activities.
Nov. 24 - RCMP were dispatched to the Chicken Chef in Virden for a report of graffiti. A Swastika and other symbols were painted on the door. The matter is still under investigation.
Nov. 24 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of several unknown people fighting on the road. Police located a 33-year-old male with minor injuries. Several people at scene were spoken to. Everyone refused to provide any information about what happened.
Nov. 26 - RCMP were dispatched to Sparwood Service Centre in Virden for a report of a break and enter. It is unknown if any items were stolen at this time. The matter is still under investigation.
Nov. 27 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of a domestic dispute. Subsequent to investigation, a 27-year-old male was arrested for assault and mischief. He was released on a future Court date, and placed on a no contact order with the victim.
Nov. 27 - RCMP were dispatched to Sioux Valley for a report of people kicking and knocking at the front door. Several patrols were made without success. The matter is still under investigation.
Nov. 27 - RCMP were dispatched to Melita for a report of a person threatening self-harm. With assistance from EMS, the person was transported to the hospital for assistance.
Nov. 28 - RCMP were dispatched to Virden for a report of a Break and Enter at the Carscadden funeral home. Entry was gained through a window and several items were missing. The matter is still under investigation.
Nine traffic enforcement actions were undertaken during this reporting period.
