Elkhorn songstress Kendra Kay has been nominated for five awards at the 2019 Manitoba Country Music Awards taking place in Winnipeg Nov. 10.

The country singer/songwriter has been nominated for:

  • Album of the Year: More to Me
  • Female Artist of the Year
  • Song of the Year: Grandpa’s Gibson
  • Music Video of the Year: Grandpa’s Gibson
  • Fans’ Choice Award

This isn’t the first time Kay has piled up the nominations. In 2015, she was also nominated in five categories and won as Female Artist of the Year.

Last year, she was nominated for three titles and voted Fans’ Choice winner.

She just released a new single and a filmed-in-Manitoba music video for the new song, “How It’s Done”, now on YouTube.

This past August, she marked five years with her band and spent most of the summer performing at festivals, fairs and exhibitions.

As well as her nominations, Kay is also slated to perform at the 2019 awards gala at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre.
