Even though the leaves are turning and nights are cooling down, a little bit of summer has returned to southwestern Manitoba. A mini heatwave kicked off Sunday with temperatures reaching to 31C in the Virden area.
Better get the kids’ shorts and flip flops out of storage; the Weather Network is calling for a high of 30C today (Monday) and 31C tomorrow in the southwest region.
After that, things normalize for the rest of the week, with daily highs between 18 and 23C and showers and/or thunderstorms called for Wednesday through to Saturday.
