Oak Lake Fair: The tradition lives on and on

July 19 - 21

The Oak Lake Agricultural Society held its very first fair in 1886. Much has changed since then, but the Ag Society is still holding the fair, bringing together past and present residents of the area for a few days of fun, food, relaxation and reunion.

This weekend, Oak Lake is hosting its 133rd fair with the bulk of the activities taking place on Saturday, July 20. One of the highlights will be a reunion of the Oakwood School graduating class of 1949.

Organizers say it will take some 250 volunteers to pull it off and about 1,000 visitors are expected.
