Brandon's Keystone Centre, the new Westman site for a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

Was it in the fine print, you may wonder regarding how to make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine? This important piece of information was not readily available in the vaccine updates.

When the COVID vaccination site was announced to open in Brandon on Monday, Jan. 18 there was little or no mention of how to acquire an appointment, although the eligibility criteria has been made public.

The Empire-Advance received information that was included about the appointment procedure. https://www.empireadvance.ca/news/local-news/westman-s-vaccine-super-site-to-open-monday-1.24267012

Friday afternoon, however, a further memo from PMH was released:

We respectfully ask the general public: please do not call the Brandon Keystone Centre directly for any information regarding the COVID vaccination program. Staff at the Keystone Centre do not have the ability to book appointments.

An internal confidential phone number has already been provided to those staff groups that are eligible. This number is not being made publicly available.

During this initial round of vaccinations, provincially-established specific immunization criteria for those eligible will be followed. For a full list of those who are currently eligible to receive the vaccine in Manitoba, please first visit www.manitoba.ca/vaccine.

When, and as eligibility changes to broaden the target populations, further communication including any public number to call will be released.
