STARS at HOME
With the support of many local merchants at last week’s barbecue, Virden Home Hardware was able to donate $3,500 to STARS Air Ambulance. The store holds a yearly barbecue event and for the second year in a row, STARS has been their charity recipient. “It was nice that businesses got together like that,” said HH manager Joe Careme adding, “Stars has saved a lot of lives.” He credits volunteer cooks along with HH staff who pitched in for the event on a beautiful Friday, June 14.
