Arthur-Virden organizations get provincial funding

Doyle Piwniuk, MLA for Arthur-Virden,announced that the constituency will benefit from community development funding from the Government of Manitoba.

21local programs are receiving a total of $138,187.

“Our Progressive Conservative government understands the importance of investing in community development programs that enrich the lives of Manitobans,” said Piwniuk. “I am pleased to see our constituency will benefit from this significant province-wide funding.”

Funding in the Arthur-Virden constituency is part of an announcement of over $2.6 million in grants from the Community Places, Partners 4 Growth, Hometown Manitoba, and Neighbourhoods Alive! programs to community development programs across Manitoba.

Local programs that are receiving funding include:

  • Community Places, Municipality of Deloraine-Winchester ($15,210.00)
  • Community Places, Virden Well View Golf Club ($50,000.00)
  • Community Places, RM of Sifton ($19,430.00)
  • Partners 4 Growth, Virden Skills Training Inc. ($10,388.00)
  • Partners 4 Growth, Dennis County Development Partnership ($25,000.00)
  • 16 Hometown Manitoba Grants totalling $18,159.00
