Prairie View Municipality held a regular meeting on Jul. 11. Members present were Clark, Bertram, Butler, Fulcher, Howard, Oliver, Salmon, and Wilson. Staff present were CAO Collier and Executive Assistant Bonner.
• The board approved general disbursements and pre-authorized payments amounting to $369,195.14 by cheques and other payments and payroll in the amount of $139,615.73.
• Public Works Manager Duncan attended to provide his Manager's Report which was accepted as presented.
• Don Cochrane was approved to proceed to order the equipment for the Miniota Fibre Pilot Project.
• Linda Clark, Mike Fulcher, and Roger Wilson were authorized to attend the AMM Municipal Officials, Ethics and Conflict of Interest Workshop on Oct. 6, 2017 in Winnipeg.
• Council of the Prairie View Municipality will hold a Board of Revision on Oct. 19, 2017 commencing at 10:00 a.m. in the Birtle Council Chambers.
• Council approved the Manitoba Hydro proposed natural gas work drawings CD-17922 for the installation of natural gas service as specified in the drawing within the LUD of Miniota.
• The Prairie View Municipality gave By-Law # 2017-07 Ward Boundaries for Election, being a by-law to provide for election by wards, a second reading.
• The Prairie View Municipality hereby approved the procedure PER-002; being the amended job description for the Assistant Chief Administrative Officer.
• Council approved the procedure PER-003; being the amended job description for the Executive Assistant job position.
• The procedure PER-004; being the amended job description for the Financial Assistant #1 position was approved.
• Council approved procedure PER-005; being the amended job description for the Financial Assistant #2 position.
• Also approves was procedure PER-021; being the amended job description for the Financial Assistant #3 position.
• Lastly approval for procedure PER-006; being the amended job description for the Administrative Assistant position was granted.
• Council of the Prairie View Municipality will hold its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Jul. 11.
