The Virden Oil Capitals forward has committed to play for the Rochester Institute of Technology men’s hockey team. The RIT Tigers compete at the NCAA Division I level.

“I chose RIT because of the amazing business school they have along with an awesome hockey program that is very successful,” the son of Brock and Andrea Andrew said.

The skilled forward has committed to play for RIT starting in the 2020-2021 season. He has 54 points and 25 goals in 47 games this season for the Oil Caps. Andrew, who is in his second full season with the team, said:

“Playing in Virden has given me the opportunity to excel and succeed in junior hockey. They’ve helped me make a name for myself and I’m very grateful for that.”

RIT is located in Henrietta, a town in the Rochester, N.Y. metropolitan area. RIT has about 19,047 students. Andrew said:

“The campus is very nice, and everything is so close together which makes everything very easy.”
