Monday night’s SWBL game in Virden saw the Oilers beat Hamiota 11-5 in Game Two of their best-of-three playoff series.
Game One on Friday saw the Hamiota Red Sox fall 12-3 to the Oilers.
In the clincher, Jeff Peel threw well for the Oilers while Tanner Lewis was 3-for-3 at the plate.
The Oilers advance to play the Oak River Dodgers, who swept the Rivers Comets. The winner of that round will advance to the SWBL finals. Schedule to be announced.
Oak River is the North Divison's third seed after a 9-5-1 regular season. Virden was 7-8 during the regular season.
