“How To Start a Business” seminar in Oak Lake, with limited seats available, sold out. Fifteen available seats were quickly filled by people from all over the surrounding area. The seminar was held at the Oak Lake Curling Rink on Jun. 5 from noon to 2:00 p.m.
Hosted by Enterprises Manitoba, this was the first seminar of its type to be held in Oak Lake. Chantelly Winter, Business Consultant at Entrepreneurship Manitoba for Manitoba Growth/Enterprise and Trade, taught the seminar.
Topics included: business structures, name registration, business numbers, PST, GST, grants, financing, licenses, permits, and online tools. The goal of the seminar is to educate and stimulate new business growth in the area.
