Virden residents were given the opportunity on May 20 to properly dispose of household hazardous waste. The town of Virden hosted a Household Hazardous Waste day at the Farmer’s Market location from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Examples of accepted products were household paint, flammable liquids and waste gasoline, pesticides, toxics, corrosives, and physically hazardous items such as non-refillable fuel gas cylinders.
