The new History has taken a year to get to the finished product and the committee is happy to report that from the response, it has been well received. The book is entitled Echoes From the Past. It is an update of each of the five communities that made up the R.M. of Miniota from 1883 - 2015.
These communities include Arrow River, Beulah, Crandall, Isabella, and Miniota. With the mandated amalgamation, the R.M. of Miniota became part of a much larger area encompassing the R. M. of Birtle and was renamed, the Prairie View Municipality. Echoes From the Past has been distributed to all those who ordered prior to publication. However, we do have extra copies and they are available from R.M. Offices in Miniota and Birtle for $50.
Also, at the Miniota office there are extra copies of the last history Bridging the Years 1976 - 1994. These are available free of charge. The committee thanks everyone who made this end-of-an-era project a success and hope you, the readers, have hours of pleasant reminiscing.
We apologize for any errors or omissions and will have a file at the Drop-In Centre with any that are found. They will not be sent to everyone but you could have a copy made to include in your own book if you wish.
