Miniota News by Susan Poppel

Welcome home to Randy and Ollie McKean who have returned home after a wonderful Caribbean cruise. They advise the weather was beautiful - much better than our Manitoba weather.

Congratulations to the Little Prairie Boutique who held their open house on Feb. 3. Feel free to drop in and see what they have to offer. They have opened in the old Farmer’s Edge building in Miniota.

Welcome home to Marco and Michelle Zhong who have returned from visiting their daughter Lexie in Shanghai. Lexie is staying with her grandparents and attending school there.

Sympathy of the Miniota Community to Susan Frazer, James and Emma, Cindy and Jeff, and P.J. and Drew and families on the passing of their husband, father and grandfather J.P. (Pat Frazer). Pat was one of the original directors when the Credit Union opened up in town.

Get well wishes to Alan McKenzie of Brandon who is a patient in St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.

Don’t forget the big weekend in Miniota coming up on Feb. 17 and 18 - Minor Hockey Day as well as the 4-H bonspiel and the Miniota Skating Club’s Annual Carnival. Lots of activities and opportunities to see what the local youth have accomplished this year.
