Dauphin RCMP arrest suspects in robberies, B&E

Police have a warrant for one more suspect, a Brandon person, for break-in, robbery, and assault.

In a crime spree of incidents occurred in Dauphin during the night-time hours on March 6 and 7.   On March 6, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a robbery that occurred in the back lane behind Railway Avenue in Dauphin. Officers were advised that a 30-year-old man was approached by two unknown males wearing balaclavas. One of the suspects pulled out a weapon, assaulted the victim and stole money from his pocket before fleeing the scene. Just hours later, on March 7, at approximately 12:55 a.m., Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion in the 100 block of 4th Avenue SE. Three masked individuals forced their way into a residence and, when the occupants of the residence attempted to push the intruders out the door, the occupant was sprayed with bear spray. The suspects fled the area. At approximately 1:55 a.m., Dauphin RCMP received a report of a robbery that had occurred earlier in the evening. Officers were advised that at approximately 11:00 p.m., four suspects, two male and two female, forcibly entered a residence in the 700 block of Mountain Road. The suspects brandished a knife, threatened the occupants, and stole alcohol before fleeing the residence. Officers conducted patrols in the area where they located and arrested Lorenzo Ducharme, 24, and Desmond Parenteau, 30, both of Duck Bay, in relation to these incidents. They were remanded into custody on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Break & Enter and Disguise with Intent. Dauphin RCMP issued a Warrant of Arrest out for Mallory Catcheway, 24, of Brandon on charges of Robbery, Break and Enter and Assault.
