You’ll hear the crack of the bat and slap of the ball glove this weekend in Hamiota as baseball season heats up. June 2-4 there’s baseball and more baseball in the Hamiota sports field.
Friday night South West Baseball League teams played with Elkhorn visiting. Pitchers for both teams got a little wild resulting in some walks, but some solid hits also sent the players around the bases to home plate.
Following two days of youths on the minor ball diamonds in Hamiota, later Sunday afternoon the Red Sox again play, hosting the Boissevain Centennials at 2 p.m. and then at 6 p.m. the Virden Oilers are on the field.
