Norway House RCMP respond to snowmobile collision with serious injuries

On March 18, 2018, at 7:55 am, the Norway House RCMP responded to a report of a snowmobile collision located on the ice near Harts Drive in the community of Norway House.

On March 18, 2018, at 7:55 am, the Norway House RCMP responded to a report of a snowmobile collision located on the ice near Harts Drive in the community of Norway House.

Officers attended to the scene and have determined that a snowmobile with two occupants, a 24-year-old male and a 21-year-old male, both from Norway House, was travelling across a field when it collided with a large snowbank. Both male occupants were thrown from the snowmobile.

The 24-year-old suffered life threatening injuries and the 21-year-old suffered serious injuries.

Both males were flown to hospital in Winnipeg.

The two occupants were not wearing helmets and alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the collision.

Norway House RCMP continue to investigate.
