On Jan. 11, at approximately 7:40 a.m., Steinbach RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle-snowmobile collision on Highway 12, near Clearsprings Road, at Steinbach.
A 73-year-old man, from Steinbach, attempted to cross Highway 12 eastbound on his snowmobile when he was struck by a southbound pickup truck, being driven by a 45-year-old woman from Ste. Anne.
The 73-year-old, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced deceased on scene. The 45-year-old driver of the pick-up was not physically injured.
Steinbach RCMP continues to investigate.
