West District CREST seize cocaine and purple down

Highly dangerous drug mixture found during Dauphin arrest

On July 21, 2022, at approximately 10:30 pm, the RCMP’s West District Crime Enforcement Support Team and Dauphin RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Railway Avenue in Dauphin, Manitoba. The stop was in relation to an ongoing drug investigation.

A 31-year-old female from Dauphin was found to be in possession of approximately .66 grams of purple down and 2.77 grams of cocaine. Purple down is a highly dangerous drug. It is a mixture of fentanyl, carfentanyl, often heroin, and it can be cut with other drugs as well.

The female is charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She has been released from custody with a court date.
