COVID-19 treatments on trial now

Connecting the Dots

While we work on vaccines for whosoever will, can we PLEASE hear more from Manitoba and Canadian public health on COVID-19 treatments? Vaccines are not billed as 100 per cent effective. We need treatment options.

There’s a Canadian scientist heading up a study on treatments for COVID. https://healthsci.mcmaster.ca/home/2021/02/09/new-study-to-test-drugs-for-early-covid-19-infection

The study is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as well as FastGrants.

“Principal Investigator from McMaster University in Ontario leads a large international clinical trial testing drugs targeting COVID-19 including ivermectin, metformin and fluvoxamine,” says TrialSite News.

Led by Edward Mills, the Together COVID-19 Trial involves the McMaster research team along with partners in Brazil and South Africa.

Vaccines don’t need to become the be-all, end-all, particularly if there are treatments and even preventative measures people can employ. We need to leave the option for people to not take a vaccine. They are not right for everyone in every case. They work for most, but not all. Medical science bears that out.

We know that viruses mutate. In that respect it’s not a battle that’s going to go away, even with vaccines. New variants seem to be extra transmissible. Some vaccines may be less effective against some variants of concern.

The endless wearing of masks is not working to stop new cases. And it’s not how we want to continue, time without end. Miniscule COVID-19 virus particles aren’t contained by regular masks, although they have been proven helpful.

Multi-pronged approaches are needed to put this virus in its place instead of front and centre stage as it has been for over one year now.

Let’s see what this Canadian led study says about several treatments.

If I were to be infected with SARS-CoV-2, any variant, I would ask for Ivermectin. Would my Canadian doc be able to prescribe that for me? I certainly hope so. For me, the evidence is in: https://ivmmeta.com/

The British Ivermectin Recommendation Development, http://bird-group.org/ is holding a two-day seminar (starting tomorrow) on the stuff, April 23 and 24, 2021.

Living life with family, friends, neighbours, our communities and businesses must resume soon. More treatment options must become widely available.
