He becomes friends with an elderly neighbour who tells him the story of the buffalo soldiers, cavalrymen of the old West, and he develops a very strong interest in the legend.

Double Blind by Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen: Kendra, previously blind, now working with law enforcement agencies, relies on sharp powers of observation that she has developed to investigate current cases. The latest one involves a young woman found just blocks away from Kendra’s condo, carrying an envelope with Kendra’s name on it. Inside was a flash drive with a video of a wedding reception. Obviously the young woman was trying to reach Kendra with the video, but for what purpose?

Marry Me by Sundown by Johanna Lindsey: Called back to Philadelphia from the social life in London, Violet is surprised to learn that her brothers are in a precarious position while their father seeks wealth in the Montana gold fields. Meanwhile Morgan left his family’s cattle ranch to seek his own fortune. He holds her at his camp because he thinks she is scheming and working for the mining outfit that is trying to acquire his land.

The Other Woman by Daniel Silva: In the mountains of Andalusia, a mysterious Frenchwoman starts work on a dangerous memoir. Gabriel Allon, the legendary art restorer, has battled dark forces before and is lured into the hunt for the one who was inserted into the mix and now stands ready for ultimate power.
