Your greatest make-over

Here is a complete makeover for you. Cost? Just say yes! Remember a live television show where the host arranged for some lucky person(s) in the audience to get a complete makeover of their wardrobe or home? “Reach under your seat to find a coupon for this total makeover!” Who would not accept that? Today, God is offering more than that to everyone, not just a lucky few. Many examples of this are in book of Acts, the book of makeovers.

Is your life one of doing good deeds to accumulate good karma for yourself and your family? That may be good for this life but not for the next. We are all creatures of eternity. God wants to give you that complete makeover - beneficial for both this life and the next. He is saying to you as He said to Cornelius, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. 5 Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter”(Acts 10:4-5).  “He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.” (Acts 11:14). Being ‘saved’ is the beginning of this makeover.

Is your life one of zealously pursuing a religion? That may be good for this life but not for the next.God wants to give you that complete makeover. As He said to Saul, He wants to reveal Himself to you “to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me” (Acts 26:16). “God . . . has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. 15 You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’ (Acts 22:14-16).
