We have a most wonderful, hard working group of people in town, that being our mayor, town council, office staff and field workers who, so often, do a thankless, unappreciated job and receive complaints when something may not be done to someone’s satisfaction. But never, or very seldom, a pat on the back in appreciation for the wonderful job all of you do looking after we the citizens of Virden.
The field workers, each and every one of you, be it snow removal, mowing, tree trimming, refuse pick up, and the huge multitude of other duties, and employees, who do such an excellent job, so many things that are done as extras without complaining, and so often not noticed and appreciation. You do a wonderful service for us, and that goes right down to the wonderful young lady summer students who kept the flower beds so beautiful, plus a multitude of other wonderful services that you did for us.
Congratulations to each and everyone of you for an excellent job so well done.
