On Saturday, June 18Sara Janzen Mitchell attended a bridal shower in the Scared Heart Hall for her granddaughter, Andrea Mitchell from Yorkton, SK. Sara was accompanied by her sister-in-law Diane and Eileen Janzen from Bolton Bay.

Sherald Joynt had supper on Saturday, June 18 with Kristi, Steven, Kayleigh and Ashley Argue. On Sunday, June 19 she judged the Boissevain Fair.

Lawrence Anderson toured around Broadview and area Sunday, June 19 with his son Murray and family.

Tonight, June 21, the Hargrave Ladies will be serving the Evergreen residents their final supper after twenty-three years of service. We will miss your delicious meals and the very friendly way you service us. Many thanks to all of you and may God richly best you in your retirement.

Fred Tapp’s family took him out for a very enjoyable tour around portions of Manitoba.

School will soon be out so we wish all the teachers and students a pleasant holiday.

Parkissimo Lodge By Dorothy Argue

Sylvia Jewar has been busy going to Russell throughout the winter months playing with the Russell Pelly Trail band for dances at Dauphin, Gilbert Plains and Russell. She also plays with the band in various care homes. She still loves to play and sing at Music Jams. Beulah just lately had a music jam with 20 entertainers and a good listening crowd.

Sylvia goes to Roblin and stays with Sylvia and Dave Hanlin and then they play in Grandview and Roblin Care Homes and Manors. She also sings and plays in the evenings with the Country Traveller’s in various care homes.

On Sunday, June 19 Marg Taylor joined with family members at Nat and Kristy Howard’s home where we celebrated Callen’s third birthday and Jayce’s first birthday.

Dorothea Amy enjoyed a couple of visits with grandson Brent Amy while he was home from Lloydminister visiting with his parents Lynn and Marlene Amy and brother Kurt and Deena Amy and girls.

On Sunday Lynn took his mother to Ken and Colette Pierce’s to visit with Barry and Althea Asseslstine, her niece Lois Surine from Wembly, AB and niece Heather and Alec Kraubner from Winnipeg. There was lots of talking, laughing and enjoying Ken and Colette’s lovely garden.

Dorothy Argue visited with her daughter Dianne and Wade and Tyler and Wade’s Mum and had supper at Lee’s. Granddaughter Jenni and son Xavier were also there for Father’s Day.
