The Cougars picked up another win. Coach McNish said on the Cougar Report that both teams seemed disinterested in the game from start to finish. The game was a funny affair as defencemen scored all the Cougar goals. Hunt ended up being the Subway Player of the Game in one of his best games to date. Reid Dyck turned aside 22 Cougar shots while Eric Reid for the Cougars stopped 18 shots.

Kain Shearer opened the scoring from Myles Sobry. The Hawks tied the game midway through the period but Zach Turner responded with a power play marker from Brayden Lewis and Wallace with time winding down in the period.

The Hawks evened the score midway through the second period and Hunt gave the Cougars the lead back with just over a minute left, from Jacob Dolomont and Owen Harris. Trent Penner tied the game at the 15-minute mark with the second of the game.

The game went into overtime and Hunt decided the win with 34 seconds left.
