When someone steps up and makes a difference in a community, people notice. This is certainly the case for 14-year-old Oak Lake teen, Jeremy Larway, who has been nationally recognized for volunteerism.

Manitoba Infrastructure reminds drivers that in winter driving conditions and on slippery streets, drivers are requested to slow down and drive according to the conditions in order to get to their destination safely.

Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 8 in Virden has been part of the community for many years, and its most recent building, with its halls and club room, is a popular venue for many community events and ceremonies.

It was Brandon’s last ‘show and shine’ for the summer, with cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors (and a vintage WW II jeep), lining Rosser Avenue between Sixth Street and 14th Street.
