On Apr. 29 the Spray Park committee held a Casino Night to raise money for the proposed new spray park for Virden. The event took place at the Tundra Oil & Gas Place.

Sometime between Sunday, Mar. 12 and Tuesday, Mar. 14 a break and enter occurred at Auchmore Western Store located at 269 King St. Access was gained through the front door which was broken by assailants. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Ikay Gardens, located south west of Virden, has stocked red and white plants for Canada’s 150 th celebration. “Cherry Cheesecake Petunia and Papagaya Dahlia both have attractive, bright red and white blooms,” says Ivan Penner.
