Elkhorn School’s Earth Day celebration got off to a start with a litter-less lunch put on by the student council. Everything not eaten was biodegradable or compostable. This was was followed by a town-wide clean up, all on Friday, Apr. 21.

On the evening of Apr. 18, Virden Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts held their weigh-in night in preparation for the Kub Kar Rally in Brandon on Apr. 22. The boys are given kits, depending on their age, which they build cars or semis.

The committee has received approval for the location of the spray park. It will be located south east of the arena where the ball diamonds are, with a toddler park and spray park.
