Long-time motorcyclist, Doug Cruickshank, completed the Cannonball Express 5000 on May 22. He travelled 8440 km in six days and six hours. His trip took him from Wawa and Kingston, ON, then North Bay Ottawa and Ignace.

4-H Busy Buddies hold a successful barbeque during Oak Lake’s town wide yard sale. On June 10, the Town of Oak Lake held their Town Wide Yard Sale from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. In spite of morning rains, there was a turn-out of over a dozen yard sales.
