At the 2018 Manitoba Junior Hockey League Draft, the Virden Oil Capitals feel they addressed some needs and added some quality young men to their organization.

With both hockey and academics in mind, Virden Oil Capitals goalie Riley McVeigh has committed to study and play at Stevenson University, an NCAA Division III school, this coming winter.
