Music is a medium in which time can stand still, unexplainable thoughts and ideas can be understood, generational boundaries erased… all through the power of melody.

This Thursday evening is the come and go reception for the Cleansing Smoke exhibit with the talented artist Jessie Fosty. Jessie Fosty is an interdisciplinary visual artist from Brandon, MB.

The right amount of snow fell a few days ago to prepare the trails. The group of volunteers have been busy at the hills to open as many trails as possible. Cross country skiing is very good exercise and it is free, as before, at Hellman's Hills.

Remembering Dottie

On the cold winter morning of December fourth, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train pulled into town. The train is touring for its 18th year in an effort to raise money, food and awareness for local food banks and food shelves.

The Broken Nose Mall Santa (BNMS) band has been together on and off for about four years, recently releasing their first album – Ditch Picnic .

“Pick Me Up On Your Way Down,” crooned Larry Gabriel with the L-Tones, Thursday evening in Victoria Park. The L-Tones played on Jubilee stage on a beautiful evening, with a good crowd to enjoy their country music.

Prairie Joe, a band from Oak Lake is making a name for themselves with their country music. They have played as far afield as Saskatoon and Kenora, ON.
